CHARACTER PROFILE: Anvil
Anvil was a sweet and kind girl, a pure soul who seemed almost out of place in such a ruthless world. She was the youngest daughter of King Stormweavers, and as such, she carried the heavy burden of great responsibilities.
The members of the great families firmly believed that their role was to lead and govern humanity, and Anvil was no exception to these expectations. From a young age, she was taught what it meant to be an heir to the king: discipline, obedience, and respect for the family’s rules.
However, no matter how hard she tried, something inside her could never fully accept this destiny. The rules and expectations felt suffocating, and she often found herself following her own heart instead of what she had been taught.
This independent nature led her to clash frequently with her siblings, who saw her as a disappointment, a stain on the family name. Despite Anvil’s undeniable talent, she couldn’t gain the respect of her family or secure an important role in the kingdom.
Instead, she was constantly pushed aside, as if she were a problem to be avoided (a situation clearly shown in the third chapter).
In her desperate attempt to be accepted, Anvil found herself growing more and more isolated, lost in her increasingly dark thoughts.
As time passed, her exclusion became more severe: her siblings began to ignore her completely, avoiding giving her important tasks and keeping her out of family meetings.
This isolation made her feel lonelier than ever, and in a desperate attempt to earn their acceptance, Anvil started to act more and more defiantly, trying to make herself noticed with increasingly extreme gestures.
But the harder she tried to earn the recognition she craved, the further away she was pushed. How far will she go to gain the respect she believes she deserves?
